Basionym:— Neoregelia meeana Reitz View in CoL , Bromélia View in CoL 1 ( Sellowia 26): 40, pl. 5. 1975. Type:— BRAZIL. Amazonas: near Parintins, near source of Rio Andirá, M. Mee s.n., cultivated by R. Reitz 7726 in Rio de Janeiro Botanical Garden, 24 December 1974 ( holotype HBR!).
