Range: —Antilles; southern Mexico to Bolivia (LP, SC, TA), northern Argentina, and Uruguay.
Ecology: —Uncommon; epiphytic, rarely on rocky or sandy soil, in humid forests; to 2200 m.
Notes: —Juvenile leaves have blades that are often reniform and shallowly lobed, with subflabellate venation, and can be confused with blades of Didymoglossum punctatum ; however, the latter has stellate hairs along the entire blade margins.
