Galumna scripta Balogh & Mahunka, 1966

The species Galumna scripta was described by Balogh & Mahunka (1966) from Congo. However, the original description (p. 36, 38) has no information on presence or absence of lamellar and sublamellar lines, and a single figure (Fig. 23; p. 37) does not allow seeing these structures. Subías (2004) included this species in the genus Allogalumna without giving any reason. We studied the morphology of paratypes of G. scripta and clarified that the lamellar and sublamellar lines are present, parallel to each other, curving backwards, lamellar setae inserted between them. Hence, based on our research and generic diagnosis of Galumna (see Ermilov et al. 2013), the initial taxonomic position of this species is supported.
