Diagnosis. The new species is similar to F. yanchiensis sp. nov. in both appearance and genitalia. However, there are notable differences between them. In terms of the forewing, the new species has ill-formed dark brown dots along the distal 1/3 of the costal margin and termen, whereas F. yanchiensis lacks these markings. In the male genitalia, the new species is characterized by having a slightly narrowed saccus ( Fig. 29 View FIGURES 26-30 ), while F. yanchiensis shows a prominently narrowed saccus distally ( Fig. 30 View FIGURES 26-30 ). Additionally, in the female genitalia of the new species, the signum is positioned on the left side of the corpus bursae, whereas in F. yanchiensis , it is located near the right side of the corpus bursae.
Description. Adult ( Fig. 9 View FIGURES 1-10 ). Wingspan 20.0– 21.5 mm.
Head grayish brown, frons cream white. Labial palpus: first segment dark brown on outer surface, cream white on inner surface; second segment cream white mottled with brown on outer surface except brown in basal 1/5, cream white on inner surface; third segment shorter than second segment, cream white mottled with brown. Antenna: scape grayish brown; flagellum cream white, with brown rings.
Thorax and tegula grayish brown. Forewing grayish brown, mottled with yellow; dark brown spot surrounded by yellow scales placed at middle of fold, at middle and end of cell respectively; ill-formed dark brown dots running along distal 1/3 of costal margin and along termen; cilia grayish brown, mottled with dark brown-tipped grayish white scales. Hindwing and cilia grayish brown. Fore- and midlegs dark brown with grayish white on outer surface, grayish white on inner surface, tibiae grayish white at middle and apex, tarsi grayish white at apices of 1-3 tarsomeres; hindleg dark brown with grayish white scales, except tibia grayish white at middle and apex, fifth tarsomere dark brown.
Male genitalia ( Figs 19 View FIGURES 11-20 , 29 View FIGURES 26-30 ). Tergum eight ovoid, with broad anterolateral arms. Sternum eight sub-quadrate; anterior margin nearly straight, with slender anterolateral arms; posterior margin deeply emarginated to about posterior 1/3. Uncus narrowed from base to basal 2/3, distal 1/3 subparallel sided; posterolateral lobe digitate, sclerotized, median protrusion ovate. Gnathos stout, hooked, narrowly rounded at apex, distal 1/2 serrate on inner margin. Tegumen with anterior margin triangularly emarginated to before posterior 1/2. Valva narrowed distally, bent inward distally, with setae on distal 1/4, not touching apex of gnathos. Sacculus digitate, about 1/3 length of valva. Anellus lobe strongly sclerotized, hooked, basal 1/3 widened, distal 2/3 horn-shaped, bent outward; shorter than sacculus. Vinculum narrow. Saccus slightly narrowed to 1/2, distal 1/2 parallel sided, longer than sacculus. Phallus with two sclerotized lateral extensions and two cornuti: left extension long, slightly curved, narrowed to pointed apex distally, with several teeth on outer margin of basal 1/2; right extension shorter than left extension, narrowed distally; apical cornutus U-shaped, its right arm about twice length of left arm; medial cornutus horn-shaped, dilated at basal 2/5, distal 3/5 narrowed.
Female genitalia ( Fig. 34 View FIGURES 31-35 ). Papillae anales sub-oval-shaped. Apophyses posteriores about five times length of apophyses anteriores. Sternite eight trapezoid, wider than long, posterior margin emarginated triangularly at middle; medial sclerite cone-shaped. Ductus bursae broad and short, with longitudinal sclerotized folds, with numerous spines on inner wall. Corpus bursae ovoid-shaped, with spines on inner wall; signum being a large plate with numerous teeth and two spine-like processes, placed at left side of corpus bursae.
Distribution. China (Xinjiang).
Etymology. The specific name is derived from the type locality.
