Holotype (Ƥ) and paratypes (10 Ƥ) of D. lankanus : Sri Lanka, Mate District, W of Sigiriya, Kibissa, holotype [ USNM]; Moneragala District, Angunakolapelessa, 2 paratypes [ USNM, AMNH]; Kandy District, Kandy, 3 paratypes [ USNM]; Vavunyia District, 25 mi. NW of Medawachchiya, Parayanalankulam, 3 paratypes [ USNM]; Hambantota District, Palatupana tank, 2 paratypes [ USNM]. China: Guangdong: Guangzhou, 25.VI.1983, 26.VI.1983, Z. Bouček coll., 2 Ƥ [ BMNH]; Shixing County, Chebaling National Nature Reserve, 21.VIII.2003, Zaifu Xu coll., 1 Ƥ [ ZJUC]; Nankunshan Provincial Nature Reserve, 15.VI.2007, Zaifu Xu coll., 1 Ƥ [ SCAU].
Hosts. Lophopidae ( Guglielmino & Olmi 1997) : in India: Pyrilla aberrans (Kirby) , P. perpusilla (Walker) and P. pusana Distant.
Distribution. Oriental. China: Taiwan, Guangdong ( He & Xu 2002); India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka ( Olmi 1984, 1991; He & Xu 2002); Japan: Ryukyu Islands ( Mita 2009b).
Notes. Type material of Lestodryinus pyrillae probably lost ( Olmi 1984); the modern identification of D. pyrillae is based on topotypic material deposited in IARI.
