Type species.
Nothotytthonyx serratus sp. nov.
Etymology.
The generic name is derived from the Greek " nothos ", false, and the generic name Tytthonyx LeConte. The name is masculine in gender.
Diagnosis.
Antennae strongly serrate (Figs 3F View Figure 3 , 4C View Figure 4 ). Mandibles with a prominent tooth on incisor edge (Fig. 5D View Figure 5 ). Apical maxillary palpomere symmetrical, fusiform (Fig. 4A View Figure 4 ). Gular sutures confluent (Figs 3A View Figure 3 , 5B View Figure 5 ). Elytra shortened; surface somewhat punctate. Tibial spurs present (Fig. 4D View Figure 4 ). Gonostyli well developed (Fig. 4F View Figure 4 ).
