Crasilogia fulvitincta Joicey & Talbot View in CoL
( Figs 10 View FIGURES 6–11 , 23 View FIGURES 19–27 , 48 View FIGURES 46–51 )
Crasilogia fulvitincta Joicey & Talbot, 1917: 68 View in CoL .
Crasilogia fulvitincta Joicey & Talbot View in CoL : Scoble, 1999: 192 (checklist).
Type material. Holotype female, Dutch New Guinea [ Indonesia: West Papua], Arfak Mts, Angi Lakes , 6000 ft. [1828.8 m], (originally as ssp. of dispar ) ( NHM, examined).
Notes. Only holotype is known. In the NHM, two females were formerly incorrectly identified as C. fulvitincta .
Diagnosis ( Figs 10 View FIGURES 6–11 , 23 View FIGURES 19–27 ). Forewings above with pattern similar to C. dispar , C. flavipennis , and C. simplex , dark brown but with fulvous scales at the costal margin, with subbasal band speckled with fulvous and orange scales, with an inwardly directed broadly based subbasal notch, with median band slightly broader at the hind margin than in C. dispar , C. flavipennis , and C. simplex , edged with whitish and bright fulvous wavy lines, with a shallow medial projecting tooth outwards and a distinct inwardly directed postmedial streak near the costal margin, with a thin wavy whitish subterminal line with small medial and subapical projecting teeth. Hind wings in females with apex rounded, fulvous, with darker scales at the termen.
Male unknown.
Female genitalia ( Fig. 48 View FIGURES 46–51 ). Antrum broad, weakly sclerotised, with a rounded base. Ductus bursae broader than in C. flavipennis but slightly narrower than in C. dispar , rather short, with lateral areas heavier sclerotized in its proximal 2/3. Corpus bursae constricted medially, with the distal half broadening towards the ductus, sclerotized proximally, with rows of fine scobination and with the medium sized membranous protuberance near the entrance of the ductus bursae, with the proximal bulb smaller than in C. flavipennis , rounded, membranous. Ductus seminalis inserted on the membranous protuberance of corpus bursae near entrance of the ductus bursae. Signum probably a small, rounded, spiked patch of sclerotisation (on the slide GEOM Slide#23140, BMNH(E)#817890, the area corresponding to the signum is folded and not well seen).
Distribution. Indonesia (West Papua).
