Geographical distribution. Agelosus fraternus is at present known from mainland China (Guangxi, Guizhou, Henan, Hubei, Hunan, Shaanxi, Sichuan and Yunnan) and from Taiwan (Chiayi, Hualien, Nantou and Taichung counties).
Bionomics. Little is known about the collecting circumstances of the Taiwanese specimens, except that some were taken from pitfall traps, but nothing is known about the habitat the traps were set in. The specimen from Sun Link Sea Forest, collected by C. R. Chen was taken from under a rock near a creek. Apecholinus imitator was collected in the same locality by the same collector.
