Status at New Ireland. New record, based on NTUM 11419 ( 1 specimen, 18.0 mm SL, St. KB 52, east Anelaua Island, Kavieng District , 02°35.156’S 150°30.498’E, 3–4 m depth, 19 June 2014).

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 2.—General distribution: Brunei and eastern Indonesia north to Yaeyama Islands. Found in groups hovering over branched or tabular corals, 10–30 m depth. Marine.
