Lotilia graciliosa Klausewitz 1960 —Whitecap shrimpgoby

Status at New Ireland. New record, based on specimen photographed at Lissenung Island by Dietmar Amon on 27 Oct. 2007.

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 2.—General distribution: Red Sea and East Africa east to Micronesia, Phoenix Islands ( Kiribati) and Fiji, north to Ryukyu Islands, south to northern Australia. Found on sand bottom of lagoon and coastal reefs, in burrows with alpheid shrimps, 5–40 m depth. Marine.

Remarks. The western Pacific populations may be based on Lotilia klausewitzi Shibukawa, Suzuki & Senou 2012 .
