Callogobius flavobrunneus (Smith 1958) —Slimy goby

Status at New Ireland. New record, based on NTUM 11426 ( 1 specimen, 33.2 mm SL, St. KS 37, south side of Patio Island, Kavieng District , 02°36.247’S 150°31.619’E, 10 m depth, 15 June 2014).

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 2.—General distribution: Red Sea and East Africa east to Philippines, south to northern Australia. Found on sand-rubble bottoms, 3–20 m depth. Marine.
