Status at New Ireland. Record from New Ireland based on a video of a specimen taken off Nusa Island, Kavieng District, 2–18 m depth, St. KR32, in 2014.

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 2.—General distribution: New Guinea. Found in weedy and rocky ledges in sand-rubbles areas, 10–18 m depth. Marine.
