Aldrovandia affinis (Günther 1877) — Günther's halosaur ( Fig. 12 )

Status at New Ireland. New record, based on NTUM material (1 specimen, St. CP 4429-20, northeast of New Hanover; 1 specimen, St. CP 4432-5, northeast of New Hanover; 1 specimen, CP4433-3, north of Kavieng ; 2 specimens, St. CP 4435-1-2, north of Kavieng ; 3 specimens, St. CP 4449-15-17, north of New Hanover ).

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 1, 2.—General distribution: Circumglobal in tropical and temperate seas, but not in eastern Pacific. Benthopelagic, 730–2560 m depth. Marine.
