Genus diagnosis

Antennule seven-segmented. Antenna eight-segmented. Antennule slightly longer than antenna. Setae of mandibular palp of mandible similar in both sexes or different (with sexual dimorphism). Endopod of Th I to V three-segmented and four-segmented on Th VI and VII. Penial region of the male Th VIII with three lobes (outer lobe, inner lobe and outer protuberance) and an apical developed frontal projection longer than outer lobe and reaching the distal end of basipod; the basis has a vertical position without prominent frontal crest. Female Th VIII: with a long lateral internal seta on the coxopod; exopod longer than endopod. Uropod: sympod with four spines and endopod with two. Furcal rami: the third spine is the longest but not very long.

Type species: Paradoxiclamousella fideli sp. nov.
