Cryptoxyleborus barbieri Schedl, 1953: 128 .

Taxonomy: The species was described and figured from two specimens collected in Vietnam (Schedl, 1953). It is closely related to C.naevus and C.subnaevus , but distinguished by the truncate apices of the elytra.

Distribution: Previously known only from Vietnam, the species is recorded here from Brunei Darussalam.
