Type Locality: Ethiopia, east of Lake Turkana (Rudolf), near Mutti Galeb.
Vernacular Names: Harrington's Tateril.

Distribution: Central African Republic, Sudan, Ethiopia, Somalia, E Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania.
Conservation: IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).
Discussion: Allocation of synonyms follows Robbins (1977). Karyotypes of samples from Ethiopia and Kenya (2n = 44, FNa = 62, 64) summarized by Volobouev and Granjon (1996).
