Hyperidae Marseul, 1863: 224 [stem: Hyper-]. Type genus: Hypera Germar, 1817. Comment: published 15 June 1863; use of family-group name conserved over Phytonomini Gistel, 1848 (Art. 40.2); this family-group name was also used in the same year by Lacordaire (1863 [before 10 August]: 395, as Hyperides ).

Coniatina Legalov, 2007: 401 [stem: Coniat-]. Type genus: Coniatus Germar, 1817.

Macrotarrhusina Legalov, 2007: 401 [stem: Macrotarrh-]. Type genus: Macrotarrhus Bedel, 1906. Comment: incorrect original stem formation, not in prevailing usage.
