As discussed by Triapitsyn (2015b) for A. incarnatosimilis View in CoL , many European species of
Anagrus were described by Soyka (1956 [1955]) without mentioning of any type material.
Thus, the listings of their ‘ holotypes ’ by Chiappini (1989) were all invalid type designa-
tions according to Article 74.5 ( ICZN 1999 ) . Lectotypes would need to be designated for
the above nominal species as it was done for A. incarnatosimilis by Triapitsyn (2015b),
but preferably accompanied by digital images of each name-bearing type and the entire
primary type slide to illustrate the label data. All the types were examined by the senior
author during visits to Naturhistorisches Museum Wien, Vienna, Austria (NHMW), where
they are deposited.
