Type Locality: Brazil, Pará.
Vernacular Names: Brown Dog-faced Bat.
Synonyms: Cynomops milleri Osgood 1914 .
Distribution: Panama, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Venezuela, Guyana, Surinam, French Guiana, Brazil, N Argentina. A record from C Mexico listed by Corbet and Hill (1980, 1991) is dubious.
Conservation: IUCN 2003 – Not evaluated; not considered in IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001).
Discussion: Distinct from planirostris ; see Williams and Genoways (1980 c), Barquez et al. (1993), and Simmons and Voss (1998). Includes milleri ; see Simmons and Voss (1998).
