Type Locality: No locality mentioned; restricted to Argentina, Tucumán, Tucumán, by Sanborn (1930).
Vernacular Names: Southern Three-banded Armadillo.

Distribution: E Bolivia and SW Brazil south through the Gran Chaco of Paraguay to Argentina (Buenos Aires).
Conservation: IUCN – Lower Risk (nt).
