Like 33 but leaves minutely papillose-scabrid beneath; panicle lax, with lower whorls remote; valves 5 x 6 mm, blackish-brown; teeth even smaller, sometimes indistinct. • From Hungary and Romania to C. Greece. Al Bu Gr Hu Ju Rm [Au].
Hybridizes frequently with R. obtusifolius .
