Annual up to 20 cm, usually richly and divaricately branched. Sepals lanceolate, acute; veins 5, distinct, 3 continuing almost to the apex; petals almost equalling outer sepals. Capsule 2-3 mm. Seeds 1 - 5- 2-25 mm, oblong-elliptic; margin with prominent obtuse tubercles; faces rugose. S'. Europe, extending northwards to C. France and Switzerland. Ga Gr He Hs It Ju Sa.
