Procumbent or ascending, branched, glabrous annual 5-10(-40) cm. Leaves 3-5, pseudoverticillate, obovate-lanceolate to spathulate. Flowers small, pedicellate, in axillary fascicles. Perianth-segments acute, with scarious margins. Naturalized locally in S. Europe. [It Lu.] (Tropical America.)
