Densely caespitose; flowering stems 5-15 cm, usually unbranched, glabrous, or slightly hairy above, with 2 or more pairs of small linear-lanceolate leaves. Basal leaves linear-lanceolate. Inflorescence condensed or capitate. Calyx densely hairy, purplish; teeth triangular-lanceolate, acute. Limb of petal 4-7 mm, purplish. Mountain rocks and screes. • C. Pyrenees. G a Hs.
