Neslia paniculata subsp. thracica
status

(b) Subsp. thracica (Velen.) Bornm. , Österr. Bot. Zeitschr. 44: 125 (1894)

(A. apiculata Fischer, Meyer & Avé-Lall.): Silicula about as long as broad, apiculate, with carpophore and 4 longitudinal ribs. S. Europe; a rare casual elsewhere.

These two subspecies have been very much confused so that their precise distribution is uncertain. Subsp. paniculata occurs in thenorthern part and subsp. apiculata in the southern part of its range. Intermediate plants predominate where the two subspecies meet (approximately 43-48° N.).
