Annual; stem papillose. Basal leaves subpinnate; upper lanceolateoblong, acute, dentate. Sepals 0-5-0-75 mm; petals as long as sepals. Pedicels 2-4 mm in fruit. Silicula 2-3 x 1-5-2 mm, apical notch shallow and narrow; style very short. Introduced and naturalized in W. Europe. [Be Br G a Ge He Ho.] (Africa from Abyssinia to the Cape.) In Europe only as subsp. linoides (Thunb.) Thell. , Viert. Naturf.
