Stout glabrous perennial 30-75 cm, with branched fleshy stock. Lower leaves sinuatedentate to irregularly pinnatifid. Petals 6-10 mm. Lower segment of silicula 1-4 mm; upper segment 7-12 mm, globose to ovoid; pedicels 8-26 mm; seeds 4-5 mm. 2« = 30, 60. Stout perennials up to 150 cm, with a fleshy fusiform stock branched at the apex. Petals (3-)3*5- 7 mm. Lower segment of silicula c. 1 mm; upper segment (3-)3*5-8 mm; pedicels relatively stout (c. 0*5 mm or more in diameter); seeds 2-3*5 mm.
