Remarks. A common species in France. The holotype of Nepticula subvirescens Meyrick, 1934 (BMNH), was examined during of a study of Oriental Nepticulidae because Meyrick (1934) regarded it as an introduction from that region on ‘ Azalea indica ’. The genitalia ( Figs. 3–5) clearly show it to be S. viscerella , and this synonymy was used by Diškus & Puplesis (2003b).
