Remarks. Currently known from France only, from a small area in the Provence to the Pyrénées Orientales. Most specimens are from the type locality of Digne. The species probably has several generations; larvae have been found in April, June­July, and September. The extremely small mines are difficult to find, which is one of the reasons the species is so poorly known. Red­stained leaves may be an indication of the presence of leafmines, but other things also cause red staining of the leaves.
