Ectoedemia hexapetalae View in CoL (Sz ő cs, 1957) — New for France Fig. 33–34.
Material. 05: 2♂, 3 km NE Briançon , 13.vii.1991, B. Å. Bengtsson, gen. BÅB4569 ( BÅB, RMNH) .
Remarks. Ectoedemia hexapetalae is a very rare species, only known until now from one locality in eastern Austria and the Budapest region. This record is therefore a remarkable extension of its distribution (van Nieukerken 1985b). It feeds on Filipendula vulgaris , with mines rather similar to those of Stigmella filipendulae and S. thuringiaca . The characteristic male genitalia are illustrated in Fig. 33–34.
