( Fig. 2 View FIGURES 1–2 )
Chionaema effracta sumatrana van Eecke, 1927 , Zoölogische Mededelingen 10: 104; 1926, ibidem 9: pl. 4, fig. 12a, 12b (without legend). Type locality: [Sumatra].
Nephelomilta sumatrana: Volynkin & Černy, 2018 , Zootaxa 4472 (3): 407, figs. 7–12, 86–88, 127,128.
Materials examined. 1 Ô, Thailand, Ranong, Na Kha (ca. 250m) 15.X.1985 (Kuroko, Moriuti, Saito & Arita), adult No. OPU ˗ 042 and gen. slide No. INU˗10245Thai. (Coll. OPU) .
Distribution. Southern Thailand (new record from Ranong Province), Indonesia (Sumatra Island) and Malaysia (Malay Peninsula and Borneo Island) ( Volynkin & Černy 2018).
Remarks. N. sumatrana was subdivided into two subspecies by Volynkin & Černy (2018). In Thailand only the subspecies N. sumatrana effractoida Volynkin & Černy 2018 was known to occur whereas the nominate subspecies was reported from the islands of Sumatra and Borneo, and Malay Peninsula within Malaysia ( Volynkin & Černy 2018). The new locality of the nominate subspecies is also situated on Malay Peninsula but represents a new record from Thailand, based on the orange color of forewing pattern and dark suffusion on the hindwings.
