This species was previously known only from Russell Cave, Russell Cave National Monument, Jackson Co., Alabama. Excited Cow and White Cricket caves occur on the same drainage with Russell Cave, Dry Creek. The entrances of Round Cove Cave and Black Hole of Calcutta are only a few hundred meters apart and are likely hydrologically connected. The caves lie about 11 miles (18 km) west of the other localities on Dry Creek.
