Austrotinodes yalga -group

Wings similar to A. yalga ( Fig. 14 View FIGURES 8–15 ). Forewing length about 2.9–3.3 times width: male 4.5–6.2 mm, female 6.0 mm. Forewing fork 2 long, usually with footstalk, footstalk ranges from 1.0–2.3 times length of cross-vein rm, length fork about 0.9–1.2 times length fork 3; fork 3 length from 1.4–3.1 times length footstalk, footstalk length between about 1.8–3.0 times length cross-vein m; discoidal cell closed, length about 3 times width. Hindwing length about 2.9–3.1 times width, fork 2 footstalk length variable, length between 0.9–3.1 times length cross-vein r-m, fork about 0.8–1.1 times length of fork 3; discoidal cell length about 3 times width; with two long and one shorter anal veins.

Male genitalia with inferior appendages paired, not single or fused, short and widely separated at base; superior appendages with short ventro-mesal process with group of long spines. Only the females of A. varus and A. mubar are known in this group. They have paired lobes of variable shape, without a central pointed process on sternite VIII ( Figs 38, 39 View FIGURES 37–40 ).

This group contains three species- A. mubar , A. glaya , and A. yalga from eastern Victoria and eastern New South Wales.
