Reared specimen. NORTH CAROLINA: Moore Co., Weymouth Woods Sandhills Nature Preserve , 7.vi.2020, em. 26.vi.2020, T . S. Feldman, ex Tephrosia virginiana , # CSE6308 (1 adult, MLBM) .
Host. * Fabaceae : Tephrosia virginiana (L.) Pers. This is the first published larval or adult host association for O. floridana .
Biology. The oval, brown egg is deposited next to the midrib on the lower leaf surface ( Fig. 16 View FIGURES 1–22 ). The larva forms full-depth blotch mines with frass in scattered, short, squiggly strips, requiring several leaflets to complete its development ( Figs. 69–70 View FIGURES 67–74 ).
