This species is very commonly found in Europe. It has been already reported from Morocco by McMurtry & Bounfour (1989). It is commercialised and used in greenhouses to control phytophagous mites but essentially thrips (Messelink et al., 2006). It is also known to feed on tarsonemid mites (Tuovinen & Lindquist, 2010) and Bemisia tabaci (Gennadius) (Hwang Yong et al., 2008) . It has been naturally reported in eco- and agrosystems especially on grass.
Specimens examined: 2003, Larache on Juncus articulates (Juncaceae) (7 females), Gorges of Zegzel on Lavandula dentata (Lamiaceae) (1 female).
