Spermathecae: spermathecae globose with longitudinal axis equivalent to 4/5 of sperm pump length; spermathecal ducts 9 times longer than sperm pump, uniting to form a short common spermathecal duct; sperm pump placed at nearly basal 1/4 of the spermathecal duct; sclerotized collars of sperm pumps smaller on basal ends than on apical ones. Non Type: South Africa: Eastern Cape: GraffReinet (22 km SE, on Pearston rd) 750 m; 32o 27’S: 24o 38’E) (open Karoo scrub flowers), 1 female, 7 Dec. 1989, J. & H. Londt. Deposited in the Natal Museum, Pietermaritzburg, South Africa.
