Paratype: ♀, Thailand, Surat Thani, Khao Sok NP, Klong Morg unit, 18.v.2009, 8° 53.725' N, 98° 39.025' E, 87m, Pongphan (voucher BCLDQ01591, Genbank JN278329 View Materials ) ( QSBG) GoogleMaps .
Body length 6.1 mm, fore wing length 4.1 mm and antenna length approximately 7.5 mm.
Antenna with 53 flagellomeres. Terminal flagellomere strongly acuminate. Median flagellomeres 2.0 x longer than wide. Occipital carina complete dorsally and ventrally, joining hypostomal carina at an acute angle. Mesopleuron largely rugulose becoming aciculate posteriorly, precoxal sulcus moderately impressed, coarsely foveate-rugose, speculum present, glossy. Propodeum with midlongitudinal carina on basal 0.4, largely with dense long silvery setosity. Fore wing vein 2-CU1 1.5 x 1-CU1. Apex of fore wing subbasal cell with glabrous zone. Fore wing vein 3-SR 1.3 x vein r. Fore wing vein 2-SR+M 0.95 x vein r. Fore wing vein SR1 2.55 x vein 3-SR. Hind wing vein M+CU 1.4 x 1-M. Hind wing subbasal cell evenly setose. Hind wing vein m-cu well-developed, tubular, brown marginally antefurcal. Fore tibia: tarsus = 1.2:1.0. Hind coxa with a trace of oblique ridges on basal half dorsally and medially. Apex of hind tibia with a comb of especially modified and adpressed setae medially and ventrally between hind tibial spurs. Claws widely spaced, long, thin pectinal teeth that diverge slightly towards apex. Basal lobes of 1 st tergite moderately large, anteriorly curved, posteriorly transverse. Midlongitudinal carina of 3 rd tergite indistinct to absent. Midlongitudinal carina of 3 rd tergite at most weakly differentiated from other sculpture on anterior 0.6 of tergum.
Etymology. Named after the character Herrena, the Henna-Haired Harridan from Terry Patchett’s Discworld novels.
