Notes:— Hooker (1908) described Impatiens soulieana based on specimens of J.A. Souliè from Kiala Principality, China. While scrutinizing original collections of this species, five collections/ seven specimens [J.A. Souliè 73 (P00780845), 417 (K000694515, K000694516, P00780844), 421 (P00780843), 480 (P00780842), s.n. (P00780846)] from Kiala Principality could be located at K and P that are available for lectotypification. All seven collections bears illustration by J.D. Hooker accompanied by his determination. The specimen at Paris (barcode no. P00780844) is chosen here as the lectotype since it agrees well with protologue, bearing leaves, floral buds, mature flowers, fruits, dissected floral parts pasted on a piece of paper, illustration by J.D. Hooker accompanied by his determination.
