2. Impatiens pudica J.D. Hooker (1908: 254) View in CoL

Type:— CHINA. Sichuan (Western China): Mt Omei, October 1903, Wilson 3296 (lectotype designated here: K000694583 , image!; isolectotype P00780780 , image!) .

Notes:—While describing Impatiens pudica, Hooker cited single collection/ two specimens of E. H. Wilson 3296 from Mount Omei (Western China) in the protologue ( K and P), but no specific herbarium sheet was designated as holotype. The specimen at K with barcode no. K 000694583 is designated here as lectotype, it agrees well with the protologue, bears two plants one pasted on a piece of paper and other directly pasted on sheet having leaves, mature flowers, fruits, dissected floral parts pasted on a piece of paper, illustration by J.D. Hooker accompanied by his determination, his annotation as “ I. pudica Hk.f. ” and “Nerves 4 pairs”. While scrutinizing additional collections of this species, the specimen E. H. Wilson 3296 C ( A 00051215) from the same locality was traced at A, where it was filed as an isotype. But this Coll. No. is not mentioned in the protologue. Additionally this specimen does not bear any determination, annotation and illustration by J.D. Hooker. Hence the latter specimen cannot be considered part of original material.
