Types:— CHINA. Sichuan: Mt Omei, s.d., Faber 863 (lectotype designated here: K000199719 , image!) ; Mt Omei, July 1904, Wilson 4735 (syntypes K000199718 , image!, P00492344 , image!) .
Notes:—While describing Impatiens monticola, Hooker cited two collections from Mount Omei (Western China), E. Faber 863 and E.H. Wilson 4735. From the collection of E. Faber a single specimen could be located, whilst from the collection of E. H. Wilson, two specimens are available (each at K and P) for lectotypification. Faber’s collection at K with barcode no. K000199719 is designated here as lectotype, bears mature plant with leaves, buds, flowers and dissected floral parts pasted on a piece of paper, Hooker’s annotation as “ I. monticola Hf. ” and “Nerves of leaf 5–6 pairs”, illustration accompanied by his determination.
