Type:— COLOMBIA. Cundinamarca: Macizo de Bogotá. Quebrada del Rosal , alto del cerro izq, 3200 m. 20 Jun 1939, Cuatrecasas 5712 ( holotype: AMES-59093, UGDA drawing!) .
Notes:— Not Stelis cundinamarcae Schlechter (1924: 153) . The new name is based on the Quechua kuntur marka, meaning condor nest, one of the most commonly offered explanations for the origin of the name Cundinamarca.
