Type material.
NHMUK 20100633, lectotype and one paralectotype (Cuming coll.).
Remarks.
Sowerby described this taxon from the collection of H. Cuming; in his remarks he specified ”Charles’s”, nowadays called Isla San Cristóbal. The specimen illustrated by Sowerby 1833 [ Sowerby I and II 1832-1841] is now designated lectotype (design.n.) to define the taxon. The paralectotype was figured by Reeve.
