Heteroglenea fissilis (Breuning) View in CoL comb. nov. ( Figs 16–21 View FIGURES 16 – 18 View FIGURES 19 – 21 )
Glenea fissilis Breuning, 1953: 21 View in CoL , fig. 12.
Glenea fissilis, Breuning, 1956: 768 View in CoL , fig. 1; Breuning, 1966: 691 [Catalogue]; Rondon & Breuning, 1971 [“1970”]: 530, 538, fig. 46 i [Fauna, Host plant]; Cools, 1993: 101 [Holotype list].
Supplementary description. Male: length: 5.4–6.8 mm, humeral width: 1.5–1.8 mm. Female: length: 6.7–8.8 mm, humeral width: 1.7–2.4 mm. Antennomere ratio: male, 10 2 13 11 10 9 8.5 8 7.5 7 7; female, 10 2 13 11 10 9.5 9 8.5 8 7.5 7.5. Male terminalia ( Figs. 19–20 View FIGURES 19 – 21 ): Tegmen about 1.5 mm in length; lateral lobes stout, each about 0.35 mm long and 0.12 mm wide, with finely haired ridge at ventral base, apex with setae nearly as long as lateral lobes; basal piece not bifurcated distally; median lobe plus median struts moderately curved, a little longer than tegmen (17:15); median struts about one third of whole median lobe in length; dorsal plate slightly shorter than ventral plate; apex of ventral plate narrowly rounded; median foramen triangular elongated, acute at apex, with a projection on lateral view; internal sac more than 3 times length of median lobe plus median struts, with three pairs of basal armature, two bands of supporting armature and one special long rod (might be three rods combined together), distinctly expanded at the base; rod about 3.8 mm, more than 2 times of tegmen. Tergite VIII as broad as long, apex pointed, with dense and moderate long setae. Ventrite IX subequal to ringed part of tegmen in length. Female terminalia ( Fig. 21 View FIGURES 19 – 21 ): Spermathecal capsule distinctly expanded apically; stalk longer than apical lobe. Tignum nearly as long as abdomen.
Remarks. The anterior claws are “bifid”, with the inner division a little longer than the outer; the posterior claws are simple. In addition, its subparallel elytra and obtuse lateral costa applied to Gahan’s Heteroglenea . Female genitalia are of the same kind as H. nigromaculata , with spermathecal capsule having two parts almost parallel with each other. Though this species has special rods in male genitalia, which are longer than twice of tegmen, considering all the other characters, we transferred it to the genus Heteroglenea .
Host plant. Dialium cochinchinense Pierre ( CAESALPINIACEAE ). ( Rondon & Breuning, 1971 [“1970”])
Distribution. China (new record): Yunnan, Xizang; Laos, Myanmar, Thailand (new record), India, Bangladesh.
