Ecnomina View in CoL merki- group
This group of eight species- E. ramosa , beela , merki , foramen, concava , gippslandica , sheldoni and serrata are defined by possessing one pair of relatively robust dorsal processes on tergum X and fused inferior appendages expanded disto-laterally, and with a relatively shallow oval shaped excision meso-distally. The wing venation is slightly atypical of the genus, mainly in the relative length of forks 2 and 3 in both the fore- and hindwings ( Fig. 172 View FIGURES 168–174 ). Females have been associated for six of the eight species in this group; they have a single elongate process on sternite VIII ( Figs 190–195 View FIGURES 184–195 ) which is similar to many other species of Ecnomina .
Four of the species in this group are from north-eastern Queensland and the others from northern and eastern mainland Australia.
