Notes
The only British specimens labelled as punctiventris in BMNH were misidentified flavipes, and Beirne (1941) did not mention any British or Irish specimens. According to S. Klopfstein (pers. comm.), specimens identified as punctiventris (Thomson, 1890, Homotropus ) by Fraser et al. (2007) are actually placita and the species was subsequently recorded as placita by Mayhew et al. (2009).
