Diagnosis (male). Typical wing maculation adjacent to CuA 1, M 1 and M 2, near to Rs apex and as a square anteriorly to M 1.

Material examined. Holotype ♂, COSTA RICA, Puntarenas: 24 km W Piedras Blancas, 8.77 ºN, 83.4 ºW, xii. 1990, Malaise trap, 200 m, P. Hanson col. (LACM). Paratypes: 1 ♂, COSTA RICA: Limon: 16 km W Gualipes, 10.15 ºN, 83.92 ºW, iii–v. 1990, Malaise trap, 400 m, P. Hanson col. (LACM); 1 ♂, same as holotype but, iii–iv. 1989, P. Hanson & I. Gauld col. (LACM).

Hypopygium description ( Fig. 83). The hypopygium of this species is very similar to that of C. bilineata , differing by its short posterior projection of the right epandrial margin ( Fig. 83, black arrow).

Geographical distribution. Costa Rica and Panama.
