Synonym: Anatoecus tadornae Eichler [1].
Hosts: Mergus serrator L. [1]; Tadorna tadorna (L.) [1].
Distribution in Bulgaria: Samokov Region, Sofia [1].
Lice of Anatoecus identified to the generic level only were reported from Anas querquedula L. by Touleshkov (1964a). In the latter paper, the studied lice were mentioned as Anaticola sp. ( lapsus calami?) The relevant material in the collection was correctly labelled as Anatoecus sp.
