Type material examined. Redescription. Male. Coloration ( Fig. 7 View FIGURES 7 – 14 ): head black with slight bluish tinge, mouthparts, antennomeres 1–2 and 10–11 rusty, rest of antennomeres sepia. Prothorax orange, pronotum with semicircular sepia spot, from anterior margin, reaching ca. one third of pronotal length. Legs chestnut to sepia brown, coxae and in some specimens also tarsi rusty. Meso- and metasternum and ventral portion of abdomen sepia, scutellum sepia, elytra metallic dark blue.
Head before eyes short, slightly shorter than maximal length of eye, eyes strongly reniform, moderately protruding, head across eyes moderately wider than pronotum. Antennae short, only moderately exceeding base of elytra, antennomeres from fourth onwards becoming wider and flatter terminally, antennomere 11 suboval, moderately spoon-shaped ( Fig. 8 View FIGURES 7 – 14 ). Last maxillary palpomere slender, subparallel. Surface of head finely and densely imbricate-punctate, semilustrous, with fine, short, recumbent brown pubescence. Prothorax slightly longer than wide, slightly cordiform, its anterior margin nearly straight, anterior corners broadly rounded, lateral margins sinuate, converging posteriorly, posterior corners rounded, posterior margin slightly sinuate, finely upturned. Surface of pronotum structured and pubescent like that of head in area of semicircular spot, rest of pronotum semilustrous, more sparsely and finely punctate, with fine, sparse, recumbent yellow pubescence. Anterior depressions absent, prebasal one very shallow. Femora more or less curved, tibiae moderately curved, posterior tibiae widened, with slight, obtuse central keel and with semierect spines on the inner side ( Fig. 9 View FIGURES 7 – 14 ). Terminal spines of anterior tibiae shortened, inconspicuous, basal protarsomeres enlarged and flattened ( Fig. 10 View FIGURES 7 – 14 ). Elytra parallel-sided, elytral venation slight but distinct. Surface of elytra finely ruguloselacunose, semilustrous, with fine, semierect brown pubescence. Last abdominal segment, projections of urite VIII, tegmen and aedeagus as in Figs. 11–14 View FIGURES 7 – 14 . Female unknown.
Length: 10.1–10.5 mm.
Distribution. Indonesia: Sulawesi.
