Description. Female. Body length 1.1−1.5 mm. Body dark brown with a metallic green or blue sheen; mesoscutum and scutellum with green-blue reflections; Body dark brown with a metallic green-blue sheen; antenna ( Fig. 61 View FIGURES 61 − 64. 61 − 64 ) generally dark brown except apex of clava, F5 and F6 yellow or F5 sometimes yellowishbrown; fore wing with infuscate pattern as in Fig. 62 View FIGURES 61 − 64. 61 − 64 ; fore leg dark brown except apices of coxa, femur and tibia yellow; mid leg ( Fig. 63 View FIGURES 61 − 64. 61 − 64 ) dark brown except basal 1/3 of femur, apical 2/3 of tibia, tibia spur and tarsus yellow; hind leg dark brown, except apices of tibia and tarsus yellow.
Head. Frontovertex at anterior ocellus 1/5−1/4 head width; ocelli forming an angle of 45º −60º; posterior ocellus about half its own diameter from inner eye margin, and separated from occiptal margin by 3−4 × its own diameter; antennal scape about 2.7 × as long as wide; F1−F4 transverse, smaller than F5 and F6 ( Fig. 61 View FIGURES 61 − 64. 61 − 64 ); mandible with two teeth and an upper truncation.
Thorax. Fore wing ( Fig. 62 View FIGURES 61 − 64. 61 − 64 ) about 2.3 × as long as broad; marginal vein about as long as stigmal vein; postmarginal vein short or nearly absent.
Gaster. Ovipositor sheaths ( Fig. 64 View FIGURES 61 − 64. 61 − 64 ) slightly exserted, by about 1/7 gaster length.
Relative measurements. MT 55, OL 70, GL 20.
Male. Unknown.
Hosts. Many species of Diaspididae (see Noyes 2002). Epitetracnemus intersectus was also recorded as a parasitoid of Pseudaulacaspis pentagona by Qu et al. (1994), but this host record probably results from a misidentification of E. comis .
Distribution. Very broadly distributed (see Noyes 2002); recorded from China by Trjapitzin (1978).
