Kataev & Liang (2015) list this species as occurring in Hong Kong. Material determined by Liang Hong-Bin and confirmed by D.W. Wrase (pers. comm.). Material: 1 ex. Hong Kong, Kam Tin, Tin Sam Tsuen 8.iv.06 (Leg. Yiu vor); 1 ex. Hong Kong, Kam Tin, Tin Sam Tsuen 16.iv.08 (Leg. Yiu vor); 1 ex. Hong Kong, Kam Tin, Tin Sam Tsuen 23.v.07 (Leg. Yiu vor); 1 ex. Hong Kong, Kam Tin, Tin Sam Tsuen 17.viii.08 (Leg. Yiu vor); 1 ex. W.T.L., 17.x.10; 1 ex. W.T.L. 12.xi.15. Biology: Imago found April to November. Can be attracted to light, it is fully winged and capable of flight. Both localities where this species has been found fit well with its reported habitat, waters edge in open country.

Kataev & Liang (2015) noted that Schauberger (1930) lists this species as occurring in Hong Kong.
